BOSTON, August 6, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Soft Robotics Inc., a leading innovator in soft grip, 3D vision and artificial intelligence solutions for industrial automation, today announced the sale of the assets of its gripper business to Schmalz Group for an undisclosed sum. The company also announced that it has rebranded as Oxipital AI, with a mission to deliver its transformative AI technology to customers in critical industries, enabling an entirely new generation of resilient, efficient and sustainable manufacturing.

The divestiture of the company’s cap hardware business marks an important milestone in its 10-year evolution. It enables the company to focus its resources and expertise on advancing the commercialization of its innovative end-to-end visual artificial intelligence solutions optimized for high-speed product inspection and robotic picking.
